Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu is an American voice actress, producer, and singer. Beautiful, intelligent and gifted actress, she's a great example to Asian actors aspiring to make it big in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances on popular TV shows, she gained fame when she joined the team of the legal comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. The new fame she gained was translated into roles for the big screen in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other movies. For Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance in the role of Japanese crime lord O-Ren Shii. She also played leading roles in box office failures like Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated films like Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell as well as others, she voiced characters with prominent voices. Mia Mason's tiny screen role in Cashmere Mafia did not produce anything of note. The role she played in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland helped re-establish herself as a prominent actress. Liu selects her roles carefully in order to ensure she is not typecast in a competitive industry. Though she has embraced her heritage, she hasn't let it restrict her artistic abilities.
