
Suzanne Pleshette was an American voice actress, actor, and film actor. She lived from January 31, 1937 to January 19 2008. [1] Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and then began to appear in films in the late 1950s. She then made appearances in major films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), and Spirited Away (2001). From 1972 to 1978, Pleshette appeared regularly in a variety of television shows. She also was the character Emily Hartley, which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 in 1937. Her parents were Jewish and were the descendants of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was stage director for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
