Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney was birthed in Beirut. Her first name is an'ml' and 'amal' Arabic which means "hope". [9] Her family left Lebanon when she was just two years old, during the Lebanese Civil War, and moved to Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. (10) Her father Ramzi Alamuddin, a Lebanese Druze from the Alam al-Din dynasty, a village in Baakline in the Chouf District,[11and received an MBA qualification at the American University of Beirut. He returned to Lebanon in 1991[12][13] after the end of the civil conflict. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She was an international editor as well as a political journalist at the Saudi-owned al-Hayat publication. She was the founder of the PR company International Communication Experts. This firm is part of a larger company that is specialized in booking famous people as well as publicity photos as well as event promotion. 17. Amal is the youngest of three children including one sibling (Tala) in addition to two half-brothers who were part of her father's previous marriage. (18) Amal was a student at Dr Challoner's High School. It was the girls' grammar school situated within Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, before going to studying at university. After graduating of St Hugh's College in Oxford with an Exhibition Grant and the Shrigley Award, she studied at St Hugh's College.
